This is another "cassette tape rescue" from about 10 years ago.
(Yup, Electric Gypsy used to be a country/rock bar-band back in them days!)

I can't always get into the Country thing but I enjoyed the live feel to this. EG tracks from whenever always make you feel like your listening to it at a gig.

oh ya..!
we got the 'Tonk' on this one...
very well constructed tune, lead vocals have just enough twang to give the track authenticity...
sounds over-saturated at times but now I read it came from a cassette..

This is kewl.......... Vocals are tight, pitch and diction are good. Nice cw swing tune. Harmonies are tight. I would like to hear the gtr. hotter in the mix. Wow... nasty clip at 2:41....
Dude, this is a very kewl tune. Re-record this. Tighten up the vocals, clean up the tone of the gtr (think strat, twin and slap-back delay). Country is very hot right now. I would polish the shit out of this and shop this tune......
Very Kewl - Good Job

Unfortunately the vocalist/bassist (Joey) is retired from music and the lead guitarist/backing vocalist (Ralph) and I have gone our separate ways in life.
But I'd give a lot to be able to record with either of them again someday.

I have heard rumors lately that Joey (the vocalist on this tune) has recently started playing music again back in my hometown. I will do my damn best to make a roadtrip back home to Jellico Tn. and see if what the little bird told me is true.
...If all is so, I am going to pester my good friend 'til no end in order to get him to record a few things with me using more modern technology than we had back then.
...AND it will be shared here with all of you if I have my druthers!

wasn't it dwight yoakum that did a version of this? i don't know country well enough to say for sure, but i recognize this tune. the honky tonk's version of a club banger.
very cool cover, and impressively done.
not my usual cup of tea, but i can appreciate for the cool tune that it is.

Great one Guys!
Some really nice work here - especially the guitars - well catchy riffs & sweet lead work!
Overal a crackin tune that wouldn't sound outa place on any decent radio station!

I'm not a country fan, but this is a great song.
Awesome vocals (lead and the backing). Wish I could sing like well...
Nice guitar solo and I like the sound of the guitars overall.

Folks, the singer (Joey) occasionally still plays with Exit 160 (along with a few other folks I grew up with)
I think they have a MySpace page.
---------
Still no word on Ralph. (Other than the fact that I am fairly sure he still lives with my estranged ex-wife to be.)
...lol, yeah. 'tis true. Ralph "stole" my wife several years ago. But the VERY bright-side of this occurance is that I then was able to meet Andrea!
(There! You have a soap opera to digest!)
